The Land Rover Defender is a staple in the countryside for both agricultural use and commuting through the country lanes in all weathers, safely taking family and live stock to their destination.

Not everyone wants the traditional hearse for their loved ones last journey and now the option is available for a fun yet respectful way to make that journey in a countrified manner.

A green Land Rover Defender 110 hardtop, is the base vehicle for this hearse conversion, allowing the safe and comfortable transportation of any coffin and accompanying flowers, to quite literally anywhere in any conditions.

Standard Hire

£400

Standard hire provides the Defender Hearse with a driver/bearer for up to 2.5 hours from the requested arrival time. Also within a 40 mile radius of base

Nationwide Hire

Standard hire - £400

+ £1.00 per additional mile travelled

+£25 per hour over the 2.5 hour standard hire

A limit on arrival time or an out of 'sociable hours' fee may apply depending on the location in the UK and predicted arrival home time. Please call or email for a quote and availability.

A coffin size restriction may also be necessary depending on type of coffin, length and width. A traditional style 79" (6' 4" internal) external length coffin will be possible but willow coffins or casket style coffins, which are wider at the foot end will restrict the possible overall length.

As standard

All vehicles are provided with First Aid kits located in the glovebox for easy access by the driver.

In addition the hearses are always equipped with a set of wooden trestles, a trolley, a trio of burial webs, flower matting, cortege flags and umbrellas.

The limousines will arrive with umbrellas and an 'occupants refreshment kit', consisting of a tins of mints, tissues and bottles of water. All of a recyclable nature and plastic free, where possible.

For regular use

Using the hearse regularly also has the potential for a customised illuminated deck sign. Consisting of 15mm clear acrylic 500mm x 150mm which can be engraved with your name or company logo and is illuminated from beneath via an LED strip light, giving a noticable yet sofisticated presence. Every time the hearse is used your sign will be displayed, providing discreet and subtle advertisement.
